HUNTING.  Eagle Canyons' front door opens to the best hunting locations in and around the lake.  With deer, migratory water fowl, upland game, and turkey in plentiful supply, the sportsman is offered a number of hunting options which include guided packages.  These are a great source of fall and spring income for the resort.

WATER SPORTS.  There are actually two lakes, one below the dam that is ideal for trout fishing and picnicking, and of course the big lake which according to published information has over 100 miles of shoreline with more than 35000 surface acres 20+ miles long.  Because trophy fish are caught at the lake, the fishing attracts gamers from all over with seasonal walleye, catfish and bass tournaments sprinkled throughout the year. (The current state record walleye came from the lake.)  The lake sponsors sailing events and has other draws that include windsurfers, swimmers, water skiers, boat rally, scuba divers, and even ice fishermen.  One of the more popular annual events at Eagle Canyon Hideaway is the July 4th walleye feed.  Complete with all the home cooked walleye you can eat, guests enjoy live entertainment and a good old fashioned neighborhood get together.

ACCOMODATIONS.  In addition to recreational vehicle parking, Eagle Canyon offers cozy cabins that are placed in a uniquely located area.  Tucked away in a valley of rolling hills, Eagle Canyon has a forested area next to it which joins the lake where you can go for a walk (or cycle) on a pathway forged in the trees to observe wildlife and enjoy the quiet peace of the area.  Since there are no restrictions for fires, each site has an outdoor fire pit that adds depth to the camping experience.  The resort caters to families and provides a swimming pool and playground facility for the kids.  There is a softball diamond, sand volleyball court, a basketball hoop and horseshoe pit for the families to use.   Or guests can relax and play checkers or use the game room for entertainment.  A restaurant and deli is on site offering a wide variety of home style cooked recipes including some of Jimmies specialties that even the locals can’t resist.  Guests compliment the staff via written testimonies for the good food, fair prices, and pleasant hospitality that they provide.  A store is on the premises to provide for those last minute items that campers sometimes forget as well as food items and sportsman supplies.  Eagle Canyon has a meeting place for business seminars, group activities or if you want to just hang out and watch TV or videos.
